Apollo G takes 'No Days Off' as he converses over a smooth production

Portugal's Apollo G is a master of styles. Here he tones it down to present his thoughts on 'NDO' over a smooth and calm production.

The beat, produced by RGD & Kyo Beats, is crafted around warm piano keys. Higher keys dance around, elevating the mix whilst subtle percussion and deep 808s anchor it down.

"I don't know [another] like me."

Apollo is seemingly bilingual, thus often using his native tongue of Portuguese or creole, he actually steps to this record with English. After not using English for some time, it's interesting to wonder what made the rapper use it this time - in any case, it makes it easier for me.

The adaptable vocalist creates a narrative of taking No Days Off. He converses on not calling him, not know another like himself, building this himself, working overtime, and feeling privileged - truly in a good space.

It's noteworthy to mention that No Days Off is in fact a clothing company that sponsor Apollo. There seems to be an deep rooted network around Apollo, as the imprint appear to have similar mindsets, work ethic and focus to other companies Apollo has close ties with; YMDesigns and 25Eight Records.

The music video holds imagery of what has come familiar with the rapper - surrounded by people, community and having fun. Directed by YMDesigns.
