Ard Adz & M String bang out an anthem with 'Regulator'

Ard Adz’ talent seems to be never-ending as he moulds an anthem with 'Regulator', and seeks M String for an addictive hook.

Matching two styles, rap and afrobeats, over this lively, bouncy and upbeat instrumental, creates a post-Summer anthem - fit for both cook outs and late night whipping. The delicate melody, potentially created by a wood block-type sample, floats down as an introduction, before M String provides the strong, additive, sing-along hook. Stable bass and percussion solidify this record, and add an element of heavy rap. Whilst Adz continues this premise into his performance. It’s a perfect, but rare, combination the harmonious and gully. One of the hardest rappers in the game, Adz, provides his calm and confident style. Spitting with good content, like is often; a mix of his life, grind and team.

“I’m still stepping with the bandits / If it’s real beef, it don’t settle with a bandage / It’s been a day and I haven’t ate / Dirty’s on his grind blud, I settle with a sandwich”

Directed by Colvers, the visuals follow Adz and M String as they perform this record on the roads, on stage and in a luxury apartment; here presenting Adz stroking a kitten - intriguing and fully gangster. The sickest part, is that the whole energy Adz, String and their people project, looks like a madness. During the stage performance, we see Adz scream out his vocals amongst a tight crowd; the overall atmosphere and Adz’ passion on 100. As the two artists are surrounded by their people, on the roads, we see smiles, laughter, messing around, and having fun - the full and happy vibe of this track seems to seep out into everyone. Both track and visuals hold an awesome performance.

Concluding the video shows artwork of an Ard Adz project entitled Miskeen. Potentially an upcoming body of work containing the previously mentioned track, along with other single releases of this year. As Adam came out in 2018, this would make sense.
