Hardy Caprio & DigDat go B2B on 'Guten Tag'
Over a concoction of drill-like bass and percussion, with lighter, more melodic harmonies and high-end, Hardy Caprio and DigDat go back to back on ‘Guten Tag’.
It seems Hardy knew exactly what he was doing as he encouraged fans to guess who his latest track was with. A couple man figured it out, but it still is definitely outside of the box for the more commercial rapper. However, after his last release of ‘Lucky Me’, he has reminded those who forgot of his skill and versatility, so honestly we shouldn’t really be surprised at anything Hardy does anymore. The guy is good, and it’s turning out not to just be luck.
Directed by Wowa, who works on a lot of the leading drill and rap artists videos, we are introduced to luxury houses, gardens and cars; bright, natural colours; and smooth edits. From the jump we receive back to back bars from the two artists. Hardy begins on how “life is moving fast” and materialistic brags but with a deeper meaning - “Copped me a house before I got jewels. Uni got a man moving smart.” DigDat steps in with a large presence - in his on screen demeanor and with his familiar drill flow. The drill resident brings energy to the record, as Hardy takes a calmer approach. Yet, both are balanced nicely and the two partner well with each other.
