Notts' Jah Digga & Derby's Eyez link on the observational & thoughtful 'Food'
Jah Digga and Eyez reach out to collaborate on a meaningful and observational track entitled ‘Food’.
The city neighbours source SBTV to lay the visuals which portray Jah Digga within his city of Nottingham, connecting with those less fortunate. This is the narrative of the record - helping those in need; understanding why they may be in that difficult position; and the minor things we can assist with.
The production, crafted by Soul Arkitech, is authentic hip-hop sounding - soulful string and sax samples; and gentle drums. Whilst Jah Digga focuses on the homeless, Eyez switches the topic to hard drugs, how it ruins lives, and how he has even contributed to this destruction.
It’s an excellent link up between a Nottingham and Derby MC; and one with such meaning that was recognised by SBTV. It’s good to hear more from Jah Digga who has been a stable name in Notts for some time, whilst Elijah Eyez still controls the city of the rams. Both explore mature topics and broadcast their consciousness, clarity of thinking and thoughtfulness through their music.
“Mummy said do not be scornful. From young I’ve been thoughtful. Somebody to talk to, it’s the least that I could do.”
