Jahmiel stays 'AOK' in bright, tropical elements of sound & scenery
Jamacia’s Jahmiel puts himself into bright tones, exotic vibes and tropical scenery in ‘AOK’.
Produced by Chimney Records, the instrumental projects phenomenal, bright and tropical vibes. As dazzling pad-synths jet into the sonic stream, percussion follows its rhythmic pattern to form this beautiful display melody and rhythm. Surprisingly, futuristic lead-synths crash into the mix to transform this feel into something a little more pop music and playful. There holds a nice contrast of the lovely, bright pads, and the raw, electric appeal of the lead synths.
Similar to the sonic’s atmosphere, the visual’s atmosphere plays hand in hand with these bright and colourful elements. Jahmiel treks through the tropics performing his record, enjoying the vibes; before shots of party settings enter the music video.
As Jahmiel states, “I’m good, I’m fine. I’m doing alright. I’m doing AOK”. The narrative of this track holds weight to his enjoyment in life and the route he’s taking. Though, with scenery like he’s surrounded by, it’s hard to imagine anyone not AOK in that location. His, also melodic and powerful, vocals cut above the riddim and take control of the track. An excellent cut from the album and nice display of Jahmiel’s talents.
Taken from his latest album Great Man, this track is found around the halfway mark. If this is just a taster of what is to come from the rest of the album, then it’s definitely worth a listen.
