King Wizdom dedicates 'Caught Up' to Nipsey Hussle & Dr Sebi

The Forgotten Kings chief, King Wizdom, is one such artist all about conscious thought, perspectives, telling a story, developing meaning to his music, and building a legacy. It suits quite well then that his latest single ‘Caught Up’ is a dedication to a similar man, Nipsey Hussle tha Great, and the intriguingly brilliant, Dr Sebi.

Like Nip, Wiz is has an educated insight into a different way of life from many of us. This can be heard in his opening lyrics, “Caught up on the roads so I gotta go / Why we live this road life, I don’t know / I guess it’s just the way we know / I guess it’s just the way we know”.
The Tottenham rapper continues to examine the ‘road’ lifestyle and his own - worries, issues and complications. Over a slow, smooth instrumental, produced by BearMakesHits, Wiz develops this heartfelt track and explains that everyone can change or turn their life around.

Faith in myself, you put faith in a title / The Bible, I'm feeling tribal, man I do this for survival /
So I, grind 'til I'm rich like Lionel / I'm in charge like Rhino, head spinning like vinyl /
It's a game change, we all started with the same change / But what we done ain't in the same range /
Look what i made from it, still tryna keep that same promise / RIP to all my brothers in the grave rotting
