Mark Asari declares it 'Ain't Personal', taken from It's Time EP

Vocalist Mark Asari dropped It’s Time EP last Wednesday, and now revives the hype with visuals for ‘Ain’t Personal’.

After the very recent release of his It’s Time EP, Mark Asari creates his third set of visuals from the project; this one for the honest but positive-vibed, ‘Ain’t Personal’. The LDN singer/songwriter states the record on his first few words - “If it ain’t about paper, I’m a call you later…If it don’t feed my family, and it don’t make me happy. Then I ain’t got no time for it. It ain’t personal.”
The audio is clear, concise and display’s Asari’s mind set on the important - living, family, growth and happiness. It is what it is. As we get older, we can all relate to focusing deeper on the significant things in life and our personal development. The singer touches on such subjects over a bouncy, feel good instrumental provided by J Rocs.

The smooth visuals, directed by Kevin Hudson, see the main star going through his day; attempting to focus and work, whilst politely letting those down that seek energy from him. As the video transitions into Asari in the gym, this is a perfect reflection on spending time at a practice to garner results. A six pack doesn’t just appear, unless you bang that top notch South Korean plastic surgery; that achievement is earned after months on training. This is what Asari is portraying the single. Yeah, it’s fun to holla at girls all day, go to the club or chill with a mate, but without putting in the grind or your 10,000 hours, growth isn’t achievable.

What is stand out from the track is Asari’s vocal - soft, delicate, and unique. There may not be other quite like this in the UK at the moment. Which means he is talented, singular in style, and running a race alone. R&B sure has taken a backseat for quite some time now, but as we live in a world of repetition and cycles, could Asari be the leading man in a genre reborn?
