Skopez hits out for the hardest tones in drill with 'Skizzstyle'
Skopez delivers a hard performance on 'Skizzstyle'.
Supported by P110, Skopez licks out this cold-below-freezing record that would make Antarctica seems like a resort in Morocco. As if the instrumental and Skopez’s dominant, colourless raps were made inline for this specific moment; the two are more connected than 30-year marriage. The beat, patterned by Gorzabeatz, releases a toxic mist of frightening piano; thudding 808s, equivalent to an ogre stomping through London; isolated snares; and minimalistic hi hats. Both hold a relaxed but demanding tone; calm but ready to attack manner; a sense of sinister subtlety; and once again, utter fucking coldness.
“It gets so vicious when things ain’t kicking”
The visuals, from @redv94, are in a similar relaxed manner. Heading bobbing, straight stares, and stern faces are sported throughout as Skopez sits back to execute his lyrics.
