Trunkie releases visuals for 'More', from NEW mixtape
After dropping his mixtape, Bedroom To The Ballroom, in March 2019, Trunkie now releases the first set of visuals from the project. This music video is taken from the high-energy: ‘More’.
Showcased by GRM, the visuals are clean - bright, white backdrops; quick edits between Trunkie, models and dancers; and the occasional switch up of darker settings (house party / car styles). The use of inverted effects works well here, as they flicker on and off amongst the scenes. The darker settings can also be viewed in this inverted style, potentially portraying the good and bad - as we see Trunkie with masked up models cooking something up, and I can take a confident assumption they’re not practicing for British Bake Off. As the scenes flip between light and dark, good and bad (possibly), Trunkie uses an appealing flow to rap on wanting “more”. More, more, more money - as do we all.
The track flows nicely. Trunkie holds a interesting voice - switching between a calm, low tone, to a higher, more melodic tone - and the beat is addictive almost. Lastly, shout out the dancer in the ‘73’ tee - she kills it,. It’s good to see a contrast of active, fun, natural styles in music video rather than the same hot models, fast cars and material items that the majority of the public don’t own. As Trunkie lays out some cold footwork at the end, it’s good to see an artist having fun with it, and not taking himself too seriously.
